Description
A Mercedes battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your automobile. It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief goal is to start the Mercedes engine.
The alternator supplies electricity for the car, once the engine is operating.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, as well as the lifespan of the Mercedes battery can be reduced by a total discharge.
